Wrestling Coverage Whatever #5: AEW booking of Satnam Singh

Article

The former NBA player Satnam Singh is All Elite. Here’s how I’d book him in order to create an instant star. Some of you will notice similarities to Impact Wrestling era EC3, and Goldberg’s run in WCW. Except with some important modifications.

His star won’t be the only one rising in the process. Satnam Singh will make appearances on Dynamite & Rampage but he will not wrestle. The first 6-8 months of his career will be spent being undefeated on Dark & Elevation.

Promo footage will be Satnam Singh & Tony Khan hanging out with Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleaders at clubs. Tony Khan will introduce him as his “lion” that’ll be enforcing Khan Family rules.

The first real feud going into the 3rd month of his undefeated streak will be Team Taz. After brutally embarrassing Brian Cage his former teammates come to his aid. Hobbs comes in, and gets cut down. Hook & Spears come in together but it’s more of the same.

Satnam Singh grabs a microphone, and challenges him to a championship match. Stating that he wants the FTW title to become the Dark Championship. Spears obviously accepts.

Satnam Singh won the championship. New promo footage is released. 3 mildly known actresses from Bollywood are sitting in his limousine with him. They’re laughing, and enjoying wine. The footage cuts to his passed destruction, and you hear a lions roar.

A logo appears that says “Khan Family Authority”, and then you see Tony Khan on the screen. “This is just a taste of what’s to come, and I’d like to issue a challenge to all promoters, and wrestlers. Send your best to face Satnam Singh for the Dark Championship. Court Bauer, Billy Corgan, Booker T, David Marquez, Savio Vega, and more. Everybody can get it. There isn’t a promoter on this Earth that can find a way to beat my lion!”

*the footage goes away, and the crowd is mixed but it leans negative*

Satnam Singh will continue to be seen with mildly known actresses from allover Indian cinema. Both on the TV shows, and AEW Dark. A different Indian actress is escorting him to the ring every week. This will help get the attention of Indian journalists, and fans on social media.

Hopefully, helping increase interest in the company over there.

It’s been 9 months, and his first real challenge has arrived. King Muertes aka Mil Muertes escorted to the ring by Salina de la Renta. This match would be a brutal back & forth ending by double countout. A frustrated Salina standing next to Muertes in the back is brought an envelope full of cash, and a note saying “Join us”.

It’s announced a day later that the Khan Family Authority has hired Salina de la Renta to represent talent for Tony Khan. King Muertes was also recruited to be Salina’s muscle. Helping Salina & Satnam in anyway possible.

Satnam Singh remains dominant on Dark & Elevation. Nobody’s really challenging him there. Calvin Tankman, Jacob Fatu, Alexander Hammerstone, Tomohiro Ishii, Niño Hamburguesa, Ace Romero, Brody King, The Fixers, and Sean Studd have come to Jacksonville.

Most of them give a solid 5 minutes in the ring before getting beat by Satnam Singh. But Jacob Fatu got disqualified after fifteen minutes but they kept going until security got called. Alexander Hammerstone lasted 20 minutes in the ring before getting pepper sprayed by Salina. Which gave Satnam Singh the victory.

Sean Studd, Brody King, and Calvin Tankman end up getting offered positions in the Khan Family Authority. All of them accept the offer. Tony said that he needs an army of big men to beat the scrawny elite. All factions are being put on notice right now.

With the realization that it’s the Khan Family Authority versus AEW. The Khan Family believes too much creative freedom was given. That’s why AEW isn’t getting three million viewers every week. So, they’re doing a hostile takeover to purge the opposition.

Alexander Hammerstone joins the Pinnacle, and reunites with his old Dynasty bro MJF. They begin thinking of ways to beat the Khan Family Authority. Possibly aligning with the Elite or Inner Circle.

*time skip*

Championships have changed hands many times between all factions. Satnam Singh remains undefeated. The Dark Championship will be defended in two out of three round match. This takes place in Narendra Modi Stadium. Alexander Hammerstone gets an opportunity to face Satnam Singh for the championship.

Satnam Singh gets the first pin, and Alexander Hammerstone gets the second one. Satnam Singh is showing signs of weakness now. Alexander Hammerstone gets the upper hand. The KFA comes out to help Singh but members of the Pinnacle, and the Elite get out just in time.

Alexander Hammerstone pins Satnam Singh, and wins the Dark Championship. After a long undefeated streak, and title reign. Satnam Singh is set-up to begin his pursuit of the TNT championship in order to redeem himself.

That’s what I’d do in order to generate lasting interest in Satnam Singh as a wrestler.

The laughable premade argument against $15.00 an hour

The anti-minimum wage Tiktok

Another Tiktok of his

It’s a brilliant showcase of why Republican, and Libertarian ideals offer nothing. The Progressives, and the rising Democratic Socialist faction do. It isn’t something great but it’s more than what the other side is.

I hope this gets shared around the Republican, and Libertarian online community. Because I genuinely would like some answers. Give me an actual solution.

A little about myself before we get started with this. I’m planning on going to law school online after getting my own apartment. I’ve worked at a gas station, and Taco Bell. I invest in cryptos like Solana, Polkadot, and Ankr. Other than that I also plan on self-publishing fantasy books on Kindle.

Point 1: These jobs are for kids!

Do you trust high school students to schedule, hire, and deal with a safe full of money? Also why are fast food places open before 4pm during the week? It seems like they should be open from 4pm to 10pm in this case.

This argument weakens as you go up the ladder of responsibility in a fast food restaurant. Shift lead, assistant manager, and store manager are roles for adults.

If the job is for children that means adult customers have to adjust their behavior. I’ve seen grown men, and women throw tantrums over minor inconveniences. Incorrect order, missing one item, closed lobby, and so on. If it’s a job for minors the adults have to act like adults.

Point 2: Learn a skill, and you’ll have a livable wage!

That’s the problem right there, My friend. Plenty of people with good degrees are priced out. Employers want a Master’s degree, and experience. A bachelor’s degree doesn’t guarantee you a job anymore.

The common retort is that they should go to trade school. But not everyone is meant to be a tradesman just like college isn’t for everybody. 2008/2009 screwed up the future for Generation Y, and 2020 screwed up the future for Generation Z.

People with degrees in technology, and law are making your coffee. Because 75 year old Thomas Winston the 3rd doesn’t want to retire. Plus employers don’t want to take a risk on fresh talent.

Counter point: Automation

85 million jobs are expected to be eliminated by 2025. That’s only the start of it. Do you think welding or construction is a a safe career long term? I can promise you that it isn’t. No skill, low skill, and medium skill jobs are at risk.

Does increasing the minimum wage accelerate automation? Yes but what alternative does the Republican party offer? It isn’t anything good or palatable to the masses. The most forward thinking individuals in the mainstream sphere are Elon Musk, and Andrew Yang.

There’s certainly better men but those ones are a little fringe. We’ve got to ease people in to a new paradigm.

How would you deal with this?

Counter point 2: Cost of living

Because of the increase in overall population, and labor supply. The value of an individual’s labor is worth less than before. Even with skills like welding, carpentry, and programming.

In the good old days, Husbands could work at a cement factory to support a family of five. He’d have a nice house, car, and some dogs. If a 25 years old American can afford a studio apartment by themselves these days. They’re considered lucky, and envied by their peers.

You can’t pursue a better career when you are just barely making ends meet.

How would you address this?

Eventually the American Right will have to look around to see just how bad things are. The American Left is offering a shit sandwich but at least it’s something.

I offered some ideas for the Communist CPUSA. But anyone is welcome to use them in their platform. America needs a futuristic mindset.

IWA Puerto Rico September 25th

If you missed the 100 USD boat with BTC, ETH, and SOL. You still have a chance with Polkadot (DOT). So buy while you can before it’s 100 a coin.

Watch here

Unfortunately, I don’t understand Spanish. There’s also no option for English subtitles. That’d at least help me understand the commentators, and follow the storylines.

But I can still enjoy the wrestling. If this does well enough, I’ll cover IWA Puerto Rico regularly. Possibly WWC, WWL, and CMLL as well.

Rey Reyes vs Pupe Jackson:

Pupe seems like an annoying person. I’m happy that Rey Reyes attacked him while his back was turned. Pupe Jackson won though. Sad.

John Hawking vs Edrax:

They look very generic but it’s a pretty good match so far. EDRAX had a very decent entrance song too. Hawking is arguing with a fan. I assume he’s the heel/bad guy here. The referee basically secured the win for Hawking. It did look like Ed had it.

Khriz Diaz vs Aiden Grimm

No idea what their history is but there’s definitely bad blood. The fighting started before the bell rang, and Grimm is trying to use his kendo stick. Diaz hit him in the nuts while the referee wasn’t looking. The referee couldn’t keep the match under control. Both Diaz, and Grimm pushed him in order to keep fighting.

Depending on how their relationship with MLW develops. I’d love to see some of their talent make regular appearances on Fusion. Also English subtitles for the commentary, and non-wrestling segments. I’m used to watching anime with subtitles. Plenty of people are.

It might help them get some of MLW’s fanbase watching the program. Because as it is currently, MLW is getting the better end of the deal. Puerto Rican Lucha Libre doesn’t get much coverage. Compared to Japan or Mexico.

Spectro & Aiden Grimm might do well in MLW.

Book The Elite 2 side B: The Horsemen take the valley

Side B is for stories associated with the primary storyline. Read BTE2 alongside Side B for the full experience. NWA-OVW is the biggest of the new NWA territories. It’s head booker Jim Cornette is determined to stop the AEW outlaws in their tracks. While Tony Khan, and his EVPs haven’t discussed the actions of the New Four Horsemen.

The NWA office does believe that they cosign their efforts. Billy Corgan & Jim Cornette also believe that the Horsemen won’t be the only AEW wrestlers invading.

Three championship matches are expected on tonight’s episode of OVW TV. Jim Cornette has welcome any & all competitors to OVW. Because he truly believes that NWA talent is the best in the world. None of the champions know who they’re facing.

Tonight’s episode of NWA-OVW TV:

“Welcome to NWA-OVW, Folks! Wrestling how it used to be, and wrestling how you like it! Those outlaws in WWE & AEW have left a dirty taste in the mouths of fans everywhere. Our champions will defend their championships against mystery opponents. It’ll be a wonderful time for you, and the folks at home.” – Jim Cornette

The first match is for the tag team championship. The Darkkloudz are hyping up the crowd while waiting for the opponents to arrive. Tully Blanchard comes through the entrance area. Jim Cornette’s at the commentary booth, and his heart just hit the floor.

It’s well-known that Jim Cornette loves FTR. He wasn’t expecting the New Horsemen to arrive tonight. Jim genuinely thought they’d send Orange Cassidy & Michael Nakazawa or something. He didn’t believe they would consider the territorial championships worth pursuing.

Who else could be here from AEW?

Tully Blanchard introduces FTR, and they immediately storm the ring. The bell is rung as soon as the champions hit the mat. Cash & Dax are completely dominating Eric Darkstorm while his teammate is dealing with Tully.

As Cash gets Eric Darkstorm in a arm lock. Dax steps out to help Tully whose being attacked by Deget Bundlez. Tully & Dax gain control of the situation. They’re holding him in place in order for him to see Eric lose his will to fight.

Eric Darkstorm starts tapping, and FTR is declared the winner. But he doesn’t let go until Tully Blanchard, and Dax enter the ring. The new NWA-OVW tag team champions are FTR of the New Horsemen. Tully Blanchard grabs the microphone.

“That’s just the beginning, Jim. The horsemen are no longer limited to four wrestlers. I’m assembling an army. Every national, and regional championship the NWA has will be ours. We’ve known each-other for a long time. I keep my promises.” – Tully Blanchard

The next match is for the NWA-OVW Kentucky Heavyweight championship. It was previously known as the national heavyweight championship before rejoining with the NWA. Jessie Godderz is waiting for his opponent. The MLW national openweight champion Alexander Hammerstone comes to the ring in a “New Horsemen” T shirt.

This confirms the rumor that AEW has started working with MLW. Tony Khan is opening the door for so many promotions. Is he intentionally or unintentionally helping Tully’s New Horsemen invade the NWA? Does he think this is just a friendly competition? What is his end game?

Jessie Godderz being the dumb Jersey Shore bro he is challenged Alexander Hammerstone to a test of strength. A spray tanned Jersey Shore reject is about to get killed on syndicated TV. Hammerstone clearly isn’t interested in putting on a show. So he gets him in a rear naked choke but Jessie Godderz manages to get out. Only for Hammerstone’s massive boot to connect with his face.

Jessie Godderz is clearly unconscious, and the referee calls it. The new NWA-OVW Kentucky Heavyweight Champion is Alexander Hammerstone. That’s two wins for the New Horsemen. Jim Cornette isn’t doing what he intended. His territory is getting taken over easily by the New Horsemen.

Jim Cornette is practically on the verge of tears at this point. The next match is the NWA-OVW women’s championship. Fortunately he gets a break from the destruction because the challenger is Super Humman from YouTube.

Sierra versus Super ends in a disqualification because Super tried to hit her with a thumbtack wiffleball bat. But he ended up hitting the referee in the process. Now he’s being escorted out by security.

Jim Cornette breaths a sigh of relief, and tells them to end the show there. No interview segment.

“Stay tuned for more” – Jim Cornette

Book The Elite 2: CM Punk versus Nick Aldis part 3

Brief recap: NWA President Billy Corgan announces the rebirth of the territory era. Nick Aldis cuts an excellent promo about his upcoming match with CM Punk. Towards the end of the show, there is a limousine out front. Please read Book The Elite 2 part 2 for more info.

An except from an NWA HQ email to Jim Cornette:

“We’re aware of our past relationship, and it’s unfortunate end. But we’d like to recruit you in our efforts to restore the former glory of the NWA. Your resume speaks for itself. From SMW to OVW to ROH & Impact Wrestling. You’ve been an integral part of this business both as a manager, and a booker.

We’d like to offer 1 million dollar contract with a 25k signing bonus. You’ll be in charge of NWA-OVW, and NWA coverage will be a regular part of your “Drive thru” podcast. Our working relationship with AEW seems to be going South. Will you sit back as Kenny Omega & his outlaw pals destroy the remnants of the business?”

Jim Cornette responded to the email stating that he’d like to do a live phone call on the next edition of NWA power. Billy Corgan agreed to this. Who knows what Jim Cornette could say to Billy? The man is known for holding a grudge. But will he let things go in order to fight a greater enemy?

The start of program:

CM Punk, FTR, Jade Cargill, and Tully Blanchard are in the ring. Tully Blanchard has a microphone.

Tully Blanchard: It’s nice to be back in the NWA, if you can actually call it that! I’m glad that Billy Corgan is finally getting around to rebuilding the National Wrestling Alliance. I guess it took a real champion calling him out for it to happen.

*Tully takes a brief pause to look at CM Punk*

Tully Blanchard: But what would the NWA be without the Four Horsemen? So, I figured that I’d bring it back. Seems like the perfect time too. You’re trying to rebuild, and we want to profit off of that. All the championship gold, money, and power that comes with it.

It belongs to the Four Horsemen.

*Tully Blanchard passes the microphone to CM Punk*

CM Punk: You know I have to admit that Nick Aldis is pretty bold to refer to himself as the “The Man” last week. Meeting Ric Flair must’ve gotten him really excited. But I could’ve held the NWA championship for 16 times too. It’s pretty easy when you’re friends with everyone at the main office. I could even hold the championship for 2,800 days like Bruno did in the WWWF. It’s not that hard with his schedule. But I’ve always been the best in the world. I probably could’ve done it for 5,600 days before vacating it out of boredom.

Quite simply, I’m someone that could’ve been a star in any era. You’re the NWA champion because Billy Corgan met you at the right time. He would’ve had me as his golden goose. If I was willing to lower myself to the point of representing a sad imitation of the original National Wrestling Alliance.

I am the best in the world, and I will save the NWA from itself.

*CM Punk takes a minute to antagonize the NWA crowd like he would in his IWA mid south days*

Nick Aldis comes to the ring by himself, and a member of the ring crew hands him a microphone.

Nick Aldis: I’ve spent more than 1000 days being the man, and representing the NWA honorably. You abandoned professional wrestling for a failed UFC career. Why didn’t you start out on the amateur scene? I think I know why. You’re addicted to the payout, and crowd response that a major company gives.

Mr. BITW is too good to put in his dues. All you got was one loss, and one draw. You’re lucky they didn’t stick to the original decision. Otherwise you’d be 0-2 in the MMA world. All that time with the Gracie’s, and you still got beat.

I will retain the NWA championship, and win your AEW championship.

Because I am…v

*Before he could finish his statement the Four Horsemen attacked him*

Tully Blanchard is directing traffic as the four of them take turns hitting Nick Aldis. Jade Cargill hits Nick Aldis in the berries with the microphone. FTR picks him up to do a double powerbomb onto the NWA championship that’s resting on the canvas. CM Punk gets him up to hit the GTS but that’s stopped as Kamille, JR Kratos, and Aron Stevens come to the rescue.

Tully gets out of the ring, and Billy comes out with a referee. This is officially an 8 man tag team match. The bell is rung but the chaos resumed after a brief exchange between Jade & Kamille. The referee was forced to DQ both sides, and call for security to split them up.

All of them were escorted out of the building.

The second match:

Danhausen & Warhorse versus Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf aka La Rebelión

Winner is Danhausen & Warhorse.

Due to the chaos at the start of the show, and the impromptu changes to the match card. The original second match has been cut to make time for Billy’s live phone call with Jim Cornette. That match would’ve been James Storm versus Brody King versus Outlandish Zicky Dice.

*Billy Corgan is in the ring*

Billy Corgan: Hello Jim, I’m so glad that you decided to discuss this with me. We’ve been having some issues with those AEW outlaws lately. What’s happened tonight is only a sign of what’s to come I’m sure.

Jim Cornette: Well, it looks like the most hated man in wrestling today is needed once again. I should have my own bat signal at this point. It could be a tennis racket in the night’s sky.

I’m not doing this for the money although that salary is wonderful. This isn’t to help you either. I’ll return to the National Wrestling Alliance to defend the legacy of NWA. I’ve got no problem covering the NWA on Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, and the experience.

But when I become booker for NWA-OVW after signing that contract. I want full creative control over the promotion, and it’s school. If the Outlaw Four Horsemen come to my territory with gold around their wastes.

They’ll leave without it.

Thank you, Fuck you, Bye !

*Jim Cornette hangs up on Billy Corgan*

Billy Corgan: Well, I guess I’ll have to accept that. Welcome back, Jim Cornette! You haven’t changed a bit.

*The program goes off the air*

Stay tuned for BTE2 part 4!
