Perry Seltzer’s Wrestling Onlooker

Minoru Suzuki vs Takashi Sugiura : 1 out of 5 stars!

Too much hard contact, aggression, and competition! Wrestling is supposed to be fun not painful! They could’ve hurt themselves. Too realistic for me.

Watch it Here

Gentleman Jervis versus Orange Cassidy: 5 out of 5 stars!

Fun, playful, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Lots of funny moments. This is real professional wrestling. Not that painfully competitive crap that Pro NOAH, Ring of Honor, and NJPW produce.

You can watch it Here

Alex Colon versus Orin Veidt : 69 stars!

An absolute classic match that aspiring wrestlers should study.

Wrestler of the week is Shane McMahon!

Congratulations to Shane McMahon for being the first Wrestling Onlooker wrestler of the week.

Book The Elite 2 side B: The Horsemen take the valley

Side B is for stories associated with the primary storyline. Read BTE2 alongside Side B for the full experience. NWA-OVW is the biggest of the new NWA territories. It’s head booker Jim Cornette is determined to stop the AEW outlaws in their tracks. While Tony Khan, and his EVPs haven’t discussed the actions of the New Four Horsemen.

The NWA office does believe that they cosign their efforts. Billy Corgan & Jim Cornette also believe that the Horsemen won’t be the only AEW wrestlers invading.

Three championship matches are expected on tonight’s episode of OVW TV. Jim Cornette has welcome any & all competitors to OVW. Because he truly believes that NWA talent is the best in the world. None of the champions know who they’re facing.

Tonight’s episode of NWA-OVW TV:

“Welcome to NWA-OVW, Folks! Wrestling how it used to be, and wrestling how you like it! Those outlaws in WWE & AEW have left a dirty taste in the mouths of fans everywhere. Our champions will defend their championships against mystery opponents. It’ll be a wonderful time for you, and the folks at home.” – Jim Cornette

The first match is for the tag team championship. The Darkkloudz are hyping up the crowd while waiting for the opponents to arrive. Tully Blanchard comes through the entrance area. Jim Cornette’s at the commentary booth, and his heart just hit the floor.

It’s well-known that Jim Cornette loves FTR. He wasn’t expecting the New Horsemen to arrive tonight. Jim genuinely thought they’d send Orange Cassidy & Michael Nakazawa or something. He didn’t believe they would consider the territorial championships worth pursuing.

Who else could be here from AEW?

Tully Blanchard introduces FTR, and they immediately storm the ring. The bell is rung as soon as the champions hit the mat. Cash & Dax are completely dominating Eric Darkstorm while his teammate is dealing with Tully.

As Cash gets Eric Darkstorm in a arm lock. Dax steps out to help Tully whose being attacked by Deget Bundlez. Tully & Dax gain control of the situation. They’re holding him in place in order for him to see Eric lose his will to fight.

Eric Darkstorm starts tapping, and FTR is declared the winner. But he doesn’t let go until Tully Blanchard, and Dax enter the ring. The new NWA-OVW tag team champions are FTR of the New Horsemen. Tully Blanchard grabs the microphone.

“That’s just the beginning, Jim. The horsemen are no longer limited to four wrestlers. I’m assembling an army. Every national, and regional championship the NWA has will be ours. We’ve known each-other for a long time. I keep my promises.” – Tully Blanchard

The next match is for the NWA-OVW Kentucky Heavyweight championship. It was previously known as the national heavyweight championship before rejoining with the NWA. Jessie Godderz is waiting for his opponent. The MLW national openweight champion Alexander Hammerstone comes to the ring in a “New Horsemen” T shirt.

This confirms the rumor that AEW has started working with MLW. Tony Khan is opening the door for so many promotions. Is he intentionally or unintentionally helping Tully’s New Horsemen invade the NWA? Does he think this is just a friendly competition? What is his end game?

Jessie Godderz being the dumb Jersey Shore bro he is challenged Alexander Hammerstone to a test of strength. A spray tanned Jersey Shore reject is about to get killed on syndicated TV. Hammerstone clearly isn’t interested in putting on a show. So he gets him in a rear naked choke but Jessie Godderz manages to get out. Only for Hammerstone’s massive boot to connect with his face.

Jessie Godderz is clearly unconscious, and the referee calls it. The new NWA-OVW Kentucky Heavyweight Champion is Alexander Hammerstone. That’s two wins for the New Horsemen. Jim Cornette isn’t doing what he intended. His territory is getting taken over easily by the New Horsemen.

Jim Cornette is practically on the verge of tears at this point. The next match is the NWA-OVW women’s championship. Fortunately he gets a break from the destruction because the challenger is Super Humman from YouTube.

Sierra versus Super ends in a disqualification because Super tried to hit her with a thumbtack wiffleball bat. But he ended up hitting the referee in the process. Now he’s being escorted out by security.

Jim Cornette breaths a sigh of relief, and tells them to end the show there. No interview segment.

“Stay tuned for more” – Jim Cornette

BTE2 Side B 2 coming soon. Please checkout BTE2 for the main storyline.

Book The Elite 2: CM Punk versus Nick Aldis part 3

Brief recap: NWA President Billy Corgan announces the rebirth of the territory era. Nick Aldis cuts an excellent promo about his upcoming match with CM Punk. Towards the end of the show, there is a limousine out front. Please read Book The Elite 2 part 2 for more info.

An except from an NWA HQ email to Jim Cornette:

“We’re aware of our past relationship, and it’s unfortunate end. But we’d like to recruit you in our efforts to restore the former glory of the NWA. Your resume speaks for itself. From SMW to OVW to ROH & Impact Wrestling. You’ve been an integral part of this business both as a manager, and a booker.

We’d like to offer 1 million dollar contract with a 25k signing bonus. You’ll be in charge of NWA-OVW, and NWA coverage will be a regular part of your “Drive thru” podcast. Our working relationship with AEW seems to be going South. Will you sit back as Kenny Omega & his outlaw pals destroy the remnants of the business?”

Jim Cornette responded to the email stating that he’d like to do a live phone call on the next edition of NWA power. Billy Corgan agreed to this. Who knows what Jim Cornette could say to Billy? The man is known for holding a grudge. But will he let things go in order to fight a greater enemy?

The start of program:

CM Punk, FTR, Jade Cargill, and Tully Blanchard are in the ring. Tully Blanchard has a microphone.

Tully Blanchard: It’s nice to be back in the NWA, if you can actually call it that! I’m glad that Billy Corgan is finally getting around to rebuilding the National Wrestling Alliance. I guess it took a real champion calling him out for it to happen.

*Tully takes a brief pause to look at CM Punk*

Tully Blanchard: But what would the NWA be without the Four Horsemen? So, I figured that I’d bring it back. Seems like the perfect time too. You’re trying to rebuild, and we want to profit off of that. All the championship gold, money, and power that comes with it.

It belongs to the Four Horsemen.

*Tully Blanchard passes the microphone to CM Punk*

CM Punk: You know I have to admit that Nick Aldis is pretty bold to refer to himself as the “The Man” last week. Meeting Ric Flair must’ve gotten him really excited. But I could’ve held the NWA championship for 16 times too. It’s pretty easy when you’re friends with everyone at the main office. I could even hold the championship for 2,800 days like Bruno did in the WWWF. It’s not that hard with his schedule. But I’ve always been the best in the world. I probably could’ve done it for 5,600 days before vacating it out of boredom.

Quite simply, I’m someone that could’ve been a star in any era. You’re the NWA champion because Billy Corgan met you at the right time. He would’ve had me as his golden goose. If I was willing to lower myself to the point of representing a sad imitation of the original National Wrestling Alliance.

I am the best in the world, and I will save the NWA from itself.

*CM Punk takes a minute to antagonize the NWA crowd like he would in his IWA mid south days*

Nick Aldis comes to the ring by himself, and a member of the ring crew hands him a microphone.

Nick Aldis: I’ve spent more than 1000 days being the man, and representing the NWA honorably. You abandoned professional wrestling for a failed UFC career. Why didn’t you start out on the amateur scene? I think I know why. You’re addicted to the payout, and crowd response that a major company gives.

Mr. BITW is too good to put in his dues. All you got was one loss, and one draw. You’re lucky they didn’t stick to the original decision. Otherwise you’d be 0-2 in the MMA world. All that time with the Gracie’s, and you still got beat.

I will retain the NWA championship, and win your AEW championship.

Because I am…v

*Before he could finish his statement the Four Horsemen attacked him*

Tully Blanchard is directing traffic as the four of them take turns hitting Nick Aldis. Jade Cargill hits Nick Aldis in the berries with the microphone. FTR picks him up to do a double powerbomb onto the NWA championship that’s resting on the canvas. CM Punk gets him up to hit the GTS but that’s stopped as Kamille, JR Kratos, and Aron Stevens come to the rescue.

Tully gets out of the ring, and Billy comes out with a referee. This is officially an 8 man tag team match. The bell is rung but the chaos resumed after a brief exchange between Jade & Kamille. The referee was forced to DQ both sides, and call for security to split them up.

All of them were escorted out of the building.

The second match:

Danhausen & Warhorse versus Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf aka La Rebelión

Winner is Danhausen & Warhorse.

Due to the chaos at the start of the show, and the impromptu changes to the match card. The original second match has been cut to make time for Billy’s live phone call with Jim Cornette. That match would’ve been James Storm versus Brody King versus Outlandish Zicky Dice.

*Billy Corgan is in the ring*

Billy Corgan: Hello Jim, I’m so glad that you decided to discuss this with me. We’ve been having some issues with those AEW outlaws lately. What’s happened tonight is only a sign of what’s to come I’m sure.

Jim Cornette: Well, it looks like the most hated man in wrestling today is needed once again. I should have my own bat signal at this point. It could be a tennis racket in the night’s sky.

I’m not doing this for the money although that salary is wonderful. This isn’t to help you either. I’ll return to the National Wrestling Alliance to defend the legacy of NWA. I’ve got no problem covering the NWA on Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, and the experience.

But when I become booker for NWA-OVW after signing that contract. I want full creative control over the promotion, and it’s school. If the Outlaw Four Horsemen come to my territory with gold around their wastes.

They’ll leave without it.

Thank you, Fuck you, Bye !

*Jim Cornette hangs up on Billy Corgan*

Billy Corgan: Well, I guess I’ll have to accept that. Welcome back, Jim Cornette! You haven’t changed a bit.

*The program goes off the air*

Stay tuned for BTE2 part 4!

Book The Elite 2: CM Punk vs Nick Aldis part 2

Note: Nick Aldis has dropped the NWA championship to Trevor Murdoch at NWA73. An unremarkable end to an unremarkable 1000+ day reign. Most notable part was his matches with Cody Rhodes. Personally I would’ve had Brody King or James Storm beat Nick Aldis. Nick Aldis is still NWA champion in the series for the time being.

Book The Elite 1 & Book The Elite 2 part 1

Fast recap: Nick Aldis promised a response to CM Punk in the next few episodes of Power.

At the start of the program: Both Nick Aldis, and Kamille are in the ring with NWA President Billy Corgan.

Billy Corgan: I’d to thank everyone in attendance, and the folks at home. NWA power wouldn’t be possible without you. I’ve got a surprise announcement.

*Billy Corgan pauses to take in the crowd reaction*

Billy Corgan: The territory era has returned! Ohio Valley Wrestling, ECWA, and Northeast Championship Wrestling are officially sanctioned NWA territories. We’re currently in talks with promotions in Puerto Rico, Japan, and Canada as well.

CM Punk…

*Billy Corgan is cut off by Nick Aldis*

Nick Aldis: Please allow me to address him, Billy. CM Punk is a man that loves to hear himself talk more than he loves being in the ring. When we face off I will leave with both championships. The NWA is slowly returning to it’s former glory. This is just the start.

I’ll teach these outlaw wrestlers the right way, and then they’ll beg to be apart of the NWA. This isn’t where the big boys play. The NWA is where men come to settle the score. I’ll still be NWA champion after another 1000 days.

I am the man in professional wrestling. It’s not CM Punk, Shingo Takagi, and whoever McMahon is currently fond of. The man you want to face is Nick Aldis.

*Nick Aldis steps back to let Kamille takeover*

Kamille looks at Billy & Nick at a loss for words. She looks around for a moment trying to find something to say.

Kamille: Jade’s leaving with a hotdog, and a handshake. I’ll be leaving with my NWA women’s championship.

*Nick Aldis & Billy Corgan leave*

That segment was roughly 5-8 minutes total.

The card for the show is as follows:

First match:

Kamille versus Kilynn King

Emergency stoppage ends the match. After Kamille’s powerbomb on the ring apron renders Kilynn unresponsive. There’s no winner or loser. It’s declared a no contest.

Second match:

Aron Stevens & JR Kratos versus Ant Colony

Aron Stevens tears off Fire Ant’s mask, and gets disqualified. The winner is Ant Colony.

Main Event:

Nick Aldis versus Danhausen & Warhorse

Nick Aldis wins by submission.

The closing segment:

We see CM Punk, FTR, and Jade Cargill with Tully Blanchard in a limousine. The four of them do the four horsemen hand sign for the NWA camera crew. Tully Blanchard is smiling devilishly while drinking a bottle of blue Pepsi.

*The show ends, and NWA social media is going wild right now. Fans are blowing up their posts, and the poor social media interns can’t keep up.*

Book The Elite 2 part 3 coming soon!

Book The Elite 2: CM Punk vs Nick Aldis part 1

Brief recap of Book The Elite 1 : RUSH won the AAA championship with a little help from Konnan, and friends. Kenny started to become unhinged, and challenged Matt Hardy for the inactive Omega Championship. But before that Kenny Omega lost his AEW championship to CM Punk. Kenny Omega wins the Omega Championship only to eventually drop it to Jon Moxley. Moxley rebranded the championship as the AEW Hardcore Championship.

There were a few side plots mentioned in #1 but we’ll be focusing on the CM Punk vs Nick Aldis feud. CM Punk has been trashing the National Wrestling Alliance all over social media for weeks. Tony Schiavone hasn’t been able to get any explanation of his plans for the NWA championship.

On tonight’s episode of Rampage, the AEW finally clears the air. CM Punk explains that the NWA is nothing more than a studio wrestling vanity project for some rockstar. He believes that Billy Corgan has no desire to bring it to it’s former glory. Tony tried to respond but CM Punk took the microphone.

“The fact of the matter is that the NWA will always be a vanity project. Unless it has a real star representing it. Nick Aldis is just there for a paycheck, and to cement his legacy among fans of vintage wrestling. There’s no territories, no governing body, and the NWA depends on AEW for attention. ” -CM Punk

CM Punk told the audience that he wants the title vs title 2 out of 3 falls match to take place in the Mid-South Coliseum or Madison Square Garden. Punk claims Tony Khan will be discussing it with Billy Corgan tomorrow.

The card laid out by CM Punk

The first match will be for the NWA women’s championship.

1. Kamille versus Jade Cargill

2nd is just a tag team match.

FTR versus Aron Stevens & JR Kratos

The main event is the title versus title 2 out of 3 falls match

CM Punk versus Nick Aldis

A week later Nick Aldis was asked in an interview about all of this. He called CM Punk delusional, and said “if anybody is tarnishing the NWA legacy it’s you.”

Nick Aldis is looking forward to the match against CM Punk for both championships. He believes that he will be the better representative for the wrestling world. As for the comment about NWA territories that CM Punk had made. Nick said to stay watch the upcoming episodes of Power.

To be continued…

Book The Elite 1: Disgruntled Omega comes for Big Money Matt!

I’ll continue to do vintage wrestling reviews in the future. Primarily the Tennessee territory because it’s my favorite. but I have to admit telling a story is easier, and more fun for me.

RUSH announced his departure from ROH two months ago. He’s arrives on AEW Dynamite with Konnan to make an important announcement. Rush has signed AAA & AEW contracts.

The first person he calls out is Kenny Omega promising to take the Mega Championship from him. Even suggesting that he may have friends in the back already. Should the Elite try to intervene. Don Callis comes to the ring by himself.

Don tells RUSH that he’s undeserving of a match with Kenny Omega. Tells him that he has to spend a year or two on AEW Dark get some experience with the AEW style. “Kind of like those luchadores who spend their youth doing jobs in Arena Puebla & Arena Mexico”

This line is making reference to RUSH coming from CMLL, and it’s booking philosophy. Where seniority, and family ties have a significant hold on the company. RUSH is visibly angry, and Konnan gets in front of RUSH. Konnan laughs as he pulls a copy of RUSH’s AEW contract out of his pocket.

He tells Don Callis that he may want to call the cleaners because this championship match is in the contract. Which means he gets it wherever he wants it. RUSH wants it at the upcoming PPV.

It’s the All Out PPV, and the match is underway. Great in-ring work, and good storytelling in the ring. It almost similar to Omega’s match with Okada. Kenny Omega is clearly gassed, and getting impatient halfway through.

Callis & Konnan are both at ringside. Callis pepper sprays RUSH while the referee is focusing on Kenny Omega whose trying not to tap out. RUSH let’s go of him, and knocks the referee over as he tries to stand. Kenny Omega & Don Callis take this opportunity to attack RUSH together. Konnan tries to help but Kenny hits him below the belt before tossing him back out.

Kenny Omega wants to use RUSH as an example. So, he motions for someone to come out to the ring. It’s the Good Brothers, and the Young Bucks. But as they get close to the ring, the lights go out. “Nuevos Ingobernables” appears on the entrance screen.

Andrade, Dragon Lee, Penta, and Fenix are fighting with the Elite. Don Callis ran to safety like a chicken shit heel manager should. Konnan returns the favor by hitting Kenny Omega in the nuts before leaving the ring. The Elite have been pushed back to the entrance stage.

The referee is finally back to his feet after all this. Rush finishes it with his double foot stomp finisher “La Lanza” . We have a new Mega Champion, and the men that came to his aid return to celebrate. The Lucha Brothers say that it won’t stop here. They’re coming for the AEW tag team championships.

Note: I love factions in wrestling. I also think kicking out of finishers shouldn’t be allowed. What’s so special about the move, if it doesn’t have a lethal effect?

Kenny is having a mental breakdown in the back. The Elite are trying to console him but it’s not going too well. CM Punk & Matt Hardy walk by talking about their ROH stories. CM Punk looks at him but remains expressionless. Matt Hardy chuckles, and that only makes it worse.

As the two of them walk away from Kenny. Kenny shouts that he wants to face Matt Hardy for the Omega Championship. “You named your Indy fed after me! The least you can do is give me my championship.” Kenny said to Matt Hardy.

Matt Hardy responds by telling him that he has to defend the championship against CM Punk in a steel cage. We’re going to timeskip a bit here. Punk wins the AEW championship, and issues a challenge to NWA champion Nick Aldis. A title for title 2 out of 3 falls match.

Kenny’s mental health continues deteriorate, and his actions become more eccentric. He becomes a demented version of his “Cleaner” persona. Matt Hardy keeps his word after a few Dynamites, and Rampages. It’ll be a ladder match for the Omega Championship.

But Matt Hardy adds a special stipulation to the match. The loser carries the winner’s bags, and gets their snacks for one month. Kenny Omega quickly agrees to this. Fortunately for Kenny the Wrestling God Karl Gotch took pity on him that day.

Kenny Omega becomes the new Omega Champion. Matt Hardy’s fall while trying to grab the belt saved him. It was winning the lottery or Detroit actually being good at sports. No one saw it coming because Kenny was clearly done.

Matt Hardy is currently being tended to after falling into a table. Kenny Omega is looking at the championship like it’s the ring from Lord of the Rings. He’s laughing like a really bad Joker impersonator. Don Callis quickly escorts him to the back, and into a limo. Threatening cameramen, and Tony Schiavone as he does it.

The show ends there.

Kenny Omega would spend weeks hyping up the title, and defending against every undercard guy imaginable. Jon Moxley tricks Kenny Omega into a straight jacket match for the title. Jon Moxley wins, and Kenny Omega is sent away for a bit.

Kenny Omega returns to normal. The Omega Championship is rebranded as the “AEW Hardcore Championship”. It’s design is influenced heavily influenced by Moxley, and early CZW. The one remaining indicator of it’s past is the Omega symbolism on the side plates.

Learning about Battletech

Stalker mech, and the beginning. My current understanding of Battletech comes from here. Given the recent Games Workshop drama, and 40k players saying they’re interested. I figured that I should have a look too.

Although as someone whose sole interest in anything Warhammer is the story. I don’t have as much skin in the game as a guy with 1000s invested. If I were to play any GW game it’d probably be Necromunda. I think wargaming minis are exceptionally overpriced.

The beginning: Technological breakthrough brings new opportunities, and more problems. A story as old as time itself I like it. The Deimos project was completed in 2108 by the Terran Alliance. Humanity began to expand, and the settlements on other planets weren’t very keen on listening to Earth.

Separatism was building in the early 22nd century. After decades of war the Terran Alliance decided to let plenty of worlds go. Some prosper, and others don’t. Sounds like European colonial imperialism or the decline of any empire really.

The great weakness within the Terran Alliance led to a military coup in 2314. The Terran hegemony took it’s place. The hegemony eventually became a neutral power as five factions fought. But this became quite profitable especially with the birth of the Battlemech.

The Stalker: A very interestingly shaped mech looks slightly inappropriate. It’s not a fancy machine that’s for sure. It was designed in 2594 by triad technologies. Designed for strong defense, and firepower it’s quite slow. But it’s still good in urban areas. The STK-3F has 2 LRM-10, 6 lasers, and 2 SRM-6s .

It seems like a very simple, and useful design kind of like the AK-47. Very nice.

I’ll probably write about it a bit more as I look into it more. Kind of need to make posts about AEW & CMLL too. Probably some Warhammer or SoundCloud reviews too.

CWA versus AEW!

Some brief thoughts on CWA & AEW events.

CWA 01/03/87

After an interrupted interview, the first match was Goliath vs John Paul & Dennis Upton. Goliath’s manager is the scrawny little Downtown Bruno. A perfect rival for Marko Stunt. He’s built like a twig, and is a basic cowardly heel. Bruno takes credit for Goliath’s success in the ring. Pretty good 2 minute match.

Virgil is doing an Apollo Creed gimmick… That’s a it’s something that’s for sure. Jerry Lawler had a match. It was nothing special just a squash. Virgil & John Laurinaitis shouldn’t be allowed near a microphone. Absolutely terrible decision.

Tommy Rich delivered a basic, and solid promo. Talking about how he beat Harley Race, and he can beat Lawler too. Nothing complex it’s straight to the point.

After the RPM’s Mike Davis & Tommy Lane announce that Bruno will be their special referee in their upcoming title defense. The match is underway, and Bruno is on commentary. His opening remarks about the opposing team is filled with racial stereotypes.

I wasn’t expecting that, to be honest. The match was good, and the AWA Southern tag champions were pretty dominant throughout. They won in less than 3 minutes. In the following interview, the promoter’s son Jeff Jarrett tells Bruno that he will knock his head off.

The final match between experienced veterans & the talent of 1987’s today was great. An excellent back & forth it wasn’t one sided at all. An excellent story was told in the ring. Memphis Vice/Pat Tanaka versus Don Bass, Larry Wright, and Buddy Wayne ended in a no contest. The time limit was reached before a pin attempt could be made.

Very good show 6/10

Fun Fact: Downtown Bruno is the first man to win the WWF women’s championship. Where he wrestled as “Hervina” .

AEW Dark Elevation Episode 21

The show starts off with Paul Wight explaining why he’s wearing a “Vaxxed & Waxxed” shirt. Our first match is Red Velvet versus Angelica Risk. A quick but entertaining match. I thought Angelica using twerking as a taunt in the ring was funny. Red Velvet was all business in the ring, and walked away with the win.

The next match is Lee Johnson versus Marcus Kross with Dustin Rhodes at ringside supporting Lee. Marcus Kross looks like he’s preparing to be in the sequel of the live-action Dragon Ball movie. His hair is a crime against humanity. Lee Johnson won the match.

TNT champion Miro confronts Lee Johnson after the match. He congratulates him, and promises to end Lee’s career. This is much better than what the trashy WWE creative team had him do. We won’t discuss that.

They brought on David Crockett to do commentary. So many old school names are popping up in AEW. I wonder how Jim Cornette processes that? It must bother him a little.

The next match is Kris Statlander versus Ashley D’Amboise. I really like Kris Statlander. Just gives off really good vibes. I’m smiling, and Kris hasn’t done anything yet. She’s doing cartwheels to confuse her opponent, and I think that’s great. Kris Statlander finishes it with a Big Bang. Lots of fun, though probably wasn’t fun for Ashley.

Aaron Solo & Nick Comoroto w/ QT Marshall versus Rosario Grillo & Hunter Knott is up next. QT Marshall replaces Eddie Kingston on commentary for this match. Nick is massive, and looks like you stole him from Jim Crockett Promotions. Just a strong, and dominant force in the ring. His opponents will definitely have trouble.

AEW likes to keep track of wins, and losses. I’d pair him with a well spoken charismatic manager, and have him go undefeated for a bit. Before giving him a shot at the TNT championship. Wrestling needs monsters.

Now back to the match. They finished it with a tag team maneuver. Very good match that I’d challenge Jim Cornette to find something wrong with. Let’s move on!

Yuka Sakazaki versus Dani Jordyn is up next. Before I get to the match, I’d like to address something. While I don’t want it to come off like Jim Cornette is getting targeted by me. As a long time listener of his programs it needs to be said. His disdain for Kenny Omega is one thing. But to call these grown women “Japanese schoolgirls” is disgusting.

He’s said on his program that Kenny Omega has a fetish, and that’s why these women get booked. Jim can’t deny this because he has said it multiple times. It’s childish, Jim. In the rare chance that you are reading this. Please grow up. As a fan of wrestling, and yourself I genuinely think you need to chill.

Alright now we can focus on wrestling. Sakazaki has some excellent acrobatic skills, and she seems so positive. The match is very much within the acrobatic risk taking sphere of wrestling. That’s not my preferred style but it’s still cool.

Sakazaki wins.

Our main event is Bear Bronson w/ Bear Boulder versus Darby Allin w/ Sting in his corner. The match is showing so far that Darby Allin isn’t just a risky spot guy. I’m sorry for sounding like a broken record. But once again Cornette is letting his disdain for the Bucks & Omega cloud his thinking. A part of me wants to believe Jim Cornette is working but we know this is legit hate.

Darby Allin had the submission locked in but Bronson was able to counter due to his size. Rammed Darby into the turnbuckle. Two coffin drops put Bronson. The winner is Darby.

7.5/10 very good show

Batman & Orochimaru: Who’s the real creep?

It’s not Orochimaru.

Batman takes kids, and grooms them into mini versions of himself. He’s filling the void from losing his parents. So, he creates this warped crime fighting family. Being the billionaire Bruce Wayne, and knowing the pain of being alone. He could’ve just given these kids a fantastic existence.

But that’s not what he did. He trains them, and puts them into dangerous situations in the name of justice. He’s the real creep here.

Orochimaru has an odd personality, and some of what he does is questionable. But he’s not interested in his followers beyond advancing his goal. They’re there to serve a purpose. He doesn’t have any real interest in them.

Kabuto & Sasuke he might like a little bit. But even then they’re just a means to an end. He’s not trying to cope or fill a void in his heart. Batman aka Bruce Wayne is.

If it weren’t for how the curse mark is given. There’d be no real reason to make jokes about Orochimaru. It’s clear what his intentions are. Immortality & knowledge of all jutsu. He doesn’t care about anything else until the Boruto series begins.

That’s when he’s suddenly the Good Dad who stops villains occasionally. He’s objectively less creepy, and more redeemable. Batman isn’t a hero & Joker has a point. Batman is twisted in the head, and he’s just like the Joker.

Except Joker prefers crazy blondes from psych wards.
